What I ate – Goodnight Fatty

I know I shouldn’t, but I have a weakness for delicious food. Goodnight Fatty is one of my downfalls. I do limit myself by only eating a quarter of each cookie (Baby Girl and the Cookie Connoisseur take care of the rest). Depending on the day and the dough, sometimes I’m good, sometimes I’m not.

This week’s lineup looked pretty good and we were in the area. They are the flame, and I’m the moth.

We did end up saving the fatties for the next morning, which is typical as they make excellent breakfast cookies.

Blueberry Muffin

Everyone agreed that the fatty had a good blueberry muffin flavor. Baby Girl had a bit of a disconnect as she’s eating a cookie that taste, and somewhat feels like a muffin. The Cookie Connoisseur said it was a good breakfast cookie – better than any type of oatmeal cookie. I thought the texture was perfect for a muffin cookie, but a course traditional sugar sprinkle may work better than blueberry cream cheese frosting drizzle, as it was kinda soft and got on my fingers.

Midnight Cookie Crisp

This was the least favorite of the flight. Baby Girl said the cereal was stale (she picked it off and ate it alone) and is not a big fan of the chocolate dough. I thought if had a good chocolate flavor and met the description. My opinion on the cereal was that it was fine when eaten in conjunction with the cookie. The chocolate chips/chinks were still gooey and sweet. The Cookie Connoisseur said the cereal was okay and still had a crisp, but liked the blueberry muffin better.

Boston Cream Donut

This was everyone’s favorite. Baby Girl had no other words. The Cookie Connoisseur said it was the best breakfast cookie he had eaten so far! The dough had a soft, sweet vanilla flavor. The Bavarian cream was smooth and in perfect proportion with the dough and icing – which was reminiscent of a Boston cream donut glaze. It was everything you can imagine for a Boston cream donut cookie.
