What I ate yesterday7/29/24
I’m not sure what happened…. I started off well with a hard boiled egg to get some quick protein.
However, things just went downhill from there. My co-worker brought in some Salvadoran style empanadas topped with curtido – which was fabulous. Although my tummy was happy, my thighs were yelling at me for the cellulite that was growing on them as I shoveled this glorious pocket of chicken and spices topped with a spicy slaw down my throat.
I still felt that I was doing well….until I came back from taking the pups for a walk.
I got back to my desk famished. Knowing that I just ate almost 400 calories at breakfast, I went for the veggies I cut up. I thought the 1 1/2 cups of fresh cucumber and green bell pepper from my Dad’s garden, would satiate me a little. I was very wrong.
I went for the blackberries and raspberries, hoping the sweetness would tide me over. They did nothing for me as I rummaged through my desk drawer for a cookie or some carb loaded breakfast bar. I came across a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pop Tart, so I shoved that in my face. All of this in the matter of 45 minutes. The hunger came on so quickly and ravenous, that I didn’t take a photo of anything
At 5:30 pm we were quickly taking the dogs out so we could make a movie in Randolph with the kids. I grabbed some goldfish and probably polished off half the bag myself.
The movies started at 7:00 pm, and we literally got there at 7:05. We found our seats, the. Baby Girl, Sunset, and myself got in line at the concession stand for snacks while the Cookie Connoisseur held down our seats. Twenty minutes later, we got popcorn, Reese’s pieces, Cheesy Fries and fruit snacks, then rushed back to the theater to find that we missed the first 5 minutes. Nevertheless, the movie was hilarious, and there is nothing like movie theater popcorn while in front of that big screen. I should have taken a photo of everything, but I felt so rushed, and didn’t want anyone to have to wait on me.
