The Batman Calzony

We have designated one night a week (at least) to take out with the family. To satisfy the masses, we usually end up with pizza or subs. On occasion we change it up and order something like Chinese or Indian, but it tends to be easier when we keep it simple.

This is the Batman Calzony from Little Caesar’s. Obviously, it’s an LTO for the premier of the new movie “The Batman”.

A large consists of 8 slices with a butter Parmesan calzone – like crust filled with a garlic white sauce and cheese. You can also have Pepperoni and Crazy Sauce® added if preferred.

I thought the crust was pretty good, but I wasn’t a big fan of the tomato sauce. It was more sour than tangy – like it didn’t have enough sugar in it. The cheese amount was good for my liking, but my favorite part were the garlic white sauce. It had a well balanced flavor and a nice consistency. It wasn’t gloppy or pasty and sat really well on the crust.

Since the Little Caesar’s around my neck of the woods is out of my jurisdiction, I wouldn’t be ordering this again. However, if someone brought another to my house, I would gladly munch on the head and tail of that bad boy!
