Father’s Day Dinner

This dinner is dedicated to all the Dad’s out there that just want steak and potatoes for dinner on the day made to celebrate their awesomeness.

New York Strip Steak

The steaks were on sale this week and for the price, they were pretty tender. I had them sous vide for 2 hours and 45 minutes with some McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning. Then I slathered them with a garlic butter (2 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon minced garlic) and pan seared them a cast iron pan until they were just seared on both sides.

Mashed Potatoes

I have been told I have some pretty good mashed potatoes and that they are far superior to most out there. Check out the recipe from when I made them with breaded cutlets and green beans.
