Ninety Nine Restaurant

Baby Girl and I had a quick bite to eat at the 99 Restaurant this weekend while shopping for paint to makeover her room.

We started off with some popcorn. I ordered a strawberry margarita and Baby Girl went with a Shirley Temple. I would have gotten salt, but the server forgot to ask. Either way, it was tasty and definitely had enough tequila. The only thing was that the muddled strawberries kept getting stuck in my straw.

We started with the Mozzarella Moons. These were ooey, gooey and everything you want fried mozzarella to be.

Baby Girl ordered the Carnitas Flatbread. Of course, I stole a bite. The caramelized onion was sweet and the sauce wasn’t over powering. I would give it a 7 out of 10 for a flatbread.

I ordered the Strawberry Chicken Salad. The strawberries were fresh and ripe and the chicken was tender. The blue cheese was there, but didn’t take over the salad. It was blended well with the poppy seed dressing and almonds.

The portions were a decent size and both dishes ended up as another meal the following day. Overall, the experience was pretty good for a place that looks like it needs a makeover itself.
