Monte Cristo Sandwiches

Time to start eating the leftovers from the party.
There was a bunch of ham and Swiss cheese, so it was decided to have Monte Cristo sandwiches. I served it with the pasta salad and some veggie sticks drizzled with Ken’s Apple Cider Vinaigrette.
Monte Cristo Sandwich
4 Slices Country White Bread (Texas Toast is preferred, but I used what I have)
6 Slices Honey Ham
4 Slices Baby Swiss Cheese

3 Tablespoons Milk
Dash Nutmeg and Dash of Cinnamon
Butter
- Build a sandwich with the bread, ham and cheese.
- Whisk together the egg, milk and spices.
- Preheat a non stick skillet over medium heat and grease with butter.
- Dip sandwich in egg mixture and place onto skillet. Cook each side until golden brown.
