Pigs in a Blanket

I’m always looking for quick weeknight meals, especially during afterschool sports seasons. After soccer practice, Baby Girl requested pigs in a blanket for dinner. I didn’t have any Crescent Rolls, but I did have a tube of Pillsbury Grands Biscuits. Any flavor can be used. I usually go for Buttermilk, but these were made with the Butter Tastin’ version since that’s all they had at Shaw’s the day I went shopping.

Each biscuit was rolled out and cut in half and then into thirds to make six individual pieces. Hillshire Farms Lit’l Smokies were then wrapped in each of the pieces of dough. Lined up like little solders on a parchment-lined baking sheet with abut 1-inch apart, these little guys were baked for 10 to 12 minutes at 375°F or until dough is golden brown.

This was also the first time trying Pasta Roni Four Cheese Corkscrew Pasta . It wasn’t bad, but it definitely needed salt and pepper. It was a little thin, so I think the next time I make this I will use a little less water than what is called for on the box to make the sauce a little thicker. I might also try adding a little bit of shredded cheddar as well.

For the most part, it wasn’t a bad dinner for being put together in 20 minutes. I’ll probably make this again since it’s as easy as making Ramen or pasta with butter and cheese.
